MERIBEL

Meribel is French ski resort situated in the Savoie department. It consists of three villages that are part of Vanoise National Park. This ski resort is part of The Three Valleys ski area, the biggest ski area in the world. Together with Courchevel and Val Thorens, Meribel make up the largest and busiest ski area in the world. Meribel stands 1400 m above sea level.
It is also famous because hosted Ice Hockey and Women's Downhill in 1992 at the Winter Olympic Games.
There is wide variety of ski pistes. Ski area offers something for everyone. There are pistes for beginners and of course for the expert ones.

There are bus shuttles that run from airports to ski resort. Meribel has also its private airport, but it is for once who arrive with private plane or helicopter. If you prefer travel by train, the closest train station is one in Moutiers from which you can take taxi to arrive to Meribel, because the station is very close to ski resort.
Meribel has also free bus service that runs every day until midnight, so there is no need to use car once you arrive at resort.
